Meet Kobi
Kobi Fleischman is a historian, a licensed tour guide and an actor. His tours are built around stories: the people who lived in a place, what they believed in, what they argued about, and what they left behind. Dates matter, but they are never the point.
Since 1996 Kobi and his wife Nurit have lived in a Templer house in Bethlehem of Galilee, a German colony founded in 1906 in the oak woods of the Jezreel Valley. On the ground floor they opened a small visitor center, and many tours end there.
Where Kobi guides

|---|---|---|
| Akko | Templar Tunnel, Knights' Halls, Ottoman walls, market and port | First-time visitors and families |
| Nazareth & Sepphoris | Basilica of the Annunciation, Old City, Roman and Byzantine mosaics | Pilgrims and history lovers |
| Haifa | German Colony, views of the Bahá'í Gardens, Hadar and downtown | City lovers and short visits |
| Jezreel Valley | Nahalal, Merhavia, Tel Jezreel and the old Valley Railway | Anyone curious about modern Israel |
| Templer colonies | Bethlehem of Galilee, Alonei Abba and the visitor center | Anyone who likes a story with a twist |
How a private day works
It starts with a conversation. Kobi asks who is coming, what you have already seen, how much walking suits the group and what interests you most. From there he builds a route with a clear thread, so each stop adds a chapter rather than another random fact.
On the day itself, the pace follows the group. Families get more stops and shorter stories; study groups get more depth and room for questions. Entrance tickets, transport and meals are planned in advance.

Why a licensed guide
In Israel, paid guiding requires a license from the Ministry of Tourism. Licensed guides complete a long course with hundreds of classroom hours and many field days, pass the ministry exams, and renew their license every two years. You can look guides up in the official list on gov.il.
Practical tips
- Season. Spring and autumn are ideal. In summer, start early and keep the hottest hours for shaded or indoor sites.
- Dress code. Churches in Nazareth and around the Sea of Galilee require covered shoulders and knees.
- Walking. Akko and Sepphoris involve uneven stone paths. Comfortable closed shoes help.
- Language. Tours run in English or Hebrew.
End the day in a Templer house
Many guests choose to finish at the Fleischman house in Bethlehem of Galilee: a short walk along the Templer avenue, the visitor center with photos and objects from the colony, and refreshments prepared by Nurit. It is the best place to hear the last chapter of the story. German Templer colonies tour.
